Amy LaRue, DACM, Dipl.OM (NCCAOM)®, LAc
Amy is a licensed acupuncturist (LAc) and board-certified herbalist with a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health and Science. Previous clinical experience includes supportive oncology at RUSH University Medical Center, rehabilitative medicine at Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center, and chronic pain management at Heartland Health Centers Chicago. Amy holds national certification as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl.OM) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine®, with national board competency in Biomedicine, Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Chinese Medicine theory/diagnosis/treatment, and Clean Needle Technique, and fulfills ongoing educational requirements.
Along with acupuncture, Amy often employs herbal medicine strategies as a significant internal component in healing. Through the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine®, she continues advanced training in canonical Chinese herbal medicine, cultivating practical skills to effectively apply historical medical wisdom to modern clinical situations. Amy sees people of all ages for a variety of concerns, striving to empower each person's potential to respond to challenges with improved resilience and quality of life.
