Hello! I'm Amy, a board-certified, licensed acupuncturist (LAc) and herbalist with a passion for offering holistic wellness practices in the St. Louis region. I enjoy working with people of all ages and strive to empower each person's quality of life and ability to meet challenges with improved resilience and vitality. In my own health journey, Chinese medicine has helped me with concerns relating to stress and tension, pain, digestion, dermatology, and more.
Along with acupuncture, I often include herbal medicine strategies as a significant internal component in healing. Through the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine®, I continue advanced training in classical Chinese herbal medicine, applying systematic medical wisdom to modern clinical challenges.
I earned a 4-year Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health and Science, where I also gained clinical experience in Supportive Oncology at RUSH University Medical Center, Rehabilitative Medicine at Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center, and Chronic Pain Management at Heartland Health Centers Chicago. A national certification as Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl.OM, NCCAOM®) means I meet national board competency in Biomedicine, Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Chinese Medicine theory/diagnosis/treatment, Clean Needle Technique, and continuing education requirements.
If you have questions about how these methods may support you, I'm always happy to chat!
~ Amy LaRue, DACM, Dipl.OM (NCCAOM)®, LAc
